BEN TAKES 2ND PLACE FINISH WITH NEW COLORS

Posted on June 13, 2011 by Bob Stephens

(Hattiesburg, MS) Ben took his new look on the road Saturday night and had much better luck. “I’m not really superstitious but maybe changing to our new red and black livery has helped dissipate the black cloud that has been following us this season,” Ben commented after Saturday’s 2nd place run at Whynot Motorsports Park. “We tried some new setup changes and were too tight in the heat race. After moving the rear bars around we finally hit on the setup that gives us both stable corner entry speed and good drive off.”

Starting 4th in the feature Ben quickly made his way to the rear bumper of eventual winner Greg Hollingsworth and the two ran off from the rest of the field. “I was able to run pretty much anywhere I wanted so I stayed high on the cushion to keep ‘er wound up. It was great to have a good race without someone running all over us and tearing our equipment up,” Ben noted.

Ben’s next event will be Friday night, June 11th at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park for a $1,000 to win Mississippi Modified Challenge Series. Let us know what you think of Ben’s new race car design developed by Robbie Musick at Signs-by-Robbie.
