DELAYED UPDATE FROM JUNE 25TH

(Hattiesburg, MS) The PR guy had a tough week so here’s a delayed update from Ben’s Mississippi Modified Challenge Series race last Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park. Once again a full field of “topless” modifieds took to the track for the $1,000 to win event.
Ben started 3rd in his heat race but had the car set up too tight which caused him to fall back to 5th. Once again Ben tried to predict what track conditions would be for the feature and made appropriate chassis changes. Ben started 9th in the A-Main event and at the drop of the green flag started advancing to the front. The lead pack of five cars had broken away and distanced themselves from the main pack and Ben set sail for them in 6th. The feature went 20 laps green to checkers with Ben challenging for 5th at the drop of the checkered flag.
“The car was pretty good for the feature, but we couldn’t quite make a run on the top five in the closing laps,” Ben commented. Ben will be off for the July 4th weekend as he visits family in Idaho. He will return to action July 8-9. We would like to wish all of our friends and supporters a safe a fun Independence Day, enjoy the fireworks wherever you may be.
